Nike CEO Mark Parker has undoubtedly proven his ability to help lead and grow large corporations, and now another major company has called for his services. The Portland Business Journal reports that Mark Parker has been appointed to the Walt Disney Co. board of directors, effective immediately.

This is a major move for Walt Disney, who can benefit from Parker’s experience in understanding and connecting with consumers, both domestically and internationally. “His keen insight into consumers and his broad experience in international markets make him a great fit for the Disney Board,” said Walt Disney CEO Robert A. Iger. Aside from just utilizing Parker’s experience to help business, this relationship could also open up future opportunities for Nike and Walt Disney to partner across a variety of products and offerings. Parker had a huge 2015, and now it looks like 2016 will be even bigger for one of the world’s most influential CEOs.
