Lil Wayne & Birdman have had a father like son relationship since Wayne was the age of 9 and signed by Cash Money co-founder Bryan “Baby” Williams known as Birdman, but that has come to an end. The fallout between the two was due to Baby Williams positioning Young Thug as Wayne’s successor and biggest star on the label. In addition, Young Thug’s album would be titled Tha Carter 6, which is an intentional dig at Wayne’s Tha Carter series. Lil Wayne has verbally thrown shots at Birdman, Cash Money record label, and Young Thug on Twitter and in his mixtape “Sorry 4 the Wait 2”. Wayne slammed the record label explaining to his fans stating “I am a prisoner and so is my creativity”. He continued to tweet “To all my fans, I want you to know my album won’t and hasn’t been released because Baby and Cash Money Records refuse to release it”.

This past weekend, tension between the two continues as Birdman was caught on video throwing a drink on the stage that Lil Wayne was performing on. Today Birdman and Young Thug have been named in an indictment about the shooting of Lil Wayne’s tour bus back in April. According to a source, prior to the shooting Young Thug and Birdman were on the phone allegedly plotting, Blood gang member to Blood.  It is rumored that both Birdman and Young Thug tried to kill Lil Wayne. This was after Lil Wayne was telling people on social media networks not to buy Young Thug’s album, and after Wayne filed a lawsuit against Cash Money records. As you can see, the bad blood between the two continues. Fans can only wonder what’s next for Lil Wayne, will he leave the label? If so, will Nicki Minaj, Drake and his loyal label mainstays leave with him? What’s next for Lil Wayne. {Via Complex and TheDailyBeast}
