Jordan Brand’s current Asia tour is anchored with the release of this, the latest in the long history of emotional Air Jordan commercials.
The spot deconstructs the notion of the “game winning shot” with a narration from Michael Jordan himself, a man who knows a thing or two about those.
According to Creativity, the video is the work of Wieden+Kennedy’s Shanghai office. In a statement, W&K Shanghai’s creative director Azsa West said she thinks the piece can help inspire courage in the hearts of Chinese basketball players.
“Compared to kids in the States, Chinese kids are little bit shy,” West said. “I think this film will encourage them to have the determination and courage to win. It’s all about having the confidence to go out there and win.
