Brad Hall’s influence knows no bounds: the rising star of the YouTube sneaker scene has been tapped directly by YouTube to take part in its new “Awesome Stuff Week” campaign.

As he explains before getting into his latest sneaker review, seen here, that means that he was paid to put this video out. As part of the program, viewers can purchase the shoes directly via the video, which should only further prove Hall’s influence in the sneaker scene once he moves a couple thousand units off the strength of his latest piece.

The clip focuses on the adidas Tubular X, a model that Hall gives its due with a proper on-foot look and the requisite “Red October” comparison.
